Chapter Leaders

Dr. Abbas serves on the Board of Directors as the President of the UCAMENA chapter.

Dr. Abbas holds a MBA, Sports Management Diploma from the FIFA, and Sports Medicine Physician Diploma from the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

He holds several key executive positions including being a shareholder in several health care entities such as the Nile Hospital and Pyramids hospital. He is the co-founder and CEO of an international healthcare company.

Dr. El-Shakankeri serves as a board member of the UCAMENA chapter. 

Dr. El-Shakankeri has more than 30 years of experience in the healthcare in several roles including consultant Internal medicine ,Chairman of healthcare international group company.

Dr. Samir serves as a board member of the UCAMENA chapter and Chair of the Strategic Partnership and Government Relations committee. 

Dr. Samir has more than 35 years of experience in the healthcare industry in the region.

He holds several key executive positions as a financial management consultant,and serves on several Boards. He serves as the Director of Board and Treasurer for the Healthcare Governance and Transparency Association (HEGTA), Director of Board and Treasurer, Egyptian Directors for Governance Association (EDGA). 

He is the founder and CEO of Tashawer, a healthcare consultancy company. He is also the founder, CEO, and managing director of Dar El Oyoun Eye Hospitals and Centers.

Dr. Safwat serves as a board member of the UCAMENA chapter and is the Chair of the Membership and Quality Programs Committee. 

Dr. Safwat has more than 22 years of experience in healthcare in several roles including consultant neonatologist, Board member of the Egyptian General Authority of Healthcare Accreditation & Regulation (GAHAR), Deputy Chairman of the Supreme National Committee for Healthcare Standards' development and update. In addition he is a member of the Egyptian National Committee for the National Clinical Governance Program, advisor of the National Saudi clinical excellence program, and instructor at the Executive Education of the School of Business at the American University in Cairo.

Ms. Dospehoff serves as a board member of the UCAMENA chapter and is the Chair of the Financial Committee. 

Ms. Dospehoff has over a decade of experience in managerial financial planning and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, project contracts, corporate control, and compliance. 

She is a financial and accounting consultant, helping healthcare companies reach their next growth phase or prepare for exit. She was the Director of Financial and Business Operations at CTI, and currently she is the Chief Financial Officer of 24/7, TMASI, and Inc – ONE MEDICAL CENTRE
