Accreditation means that the urgent care center is providing the highest-level of safety measures, quality and scope of care to its patients.
It is valid for 36 months and then must be renewed to maintain the designation.
With the accreditation process, the Urgent care center must also meet the certification criteria, so UCA Certification is earned simultaneously with UCA Accreditation.
Begin the application process by emailing us at quality@ucaoa.org.
Include with your email: the program of interest, organization’s legal name, key contact (full name, email address, and phone number), and number of centers.
Once the application is complete and payment received, you will receive a welcome email with a link to the Quality Programs Resource Center containing the Accreditation Standards manual and other resources to assist in the Accreditation process.
The manual outlines the requirements of Accreditation and helps you prepare for survey. The urgent care center has six months from application to request their survey.
Surveys are announced and include both administrative review and center visits. The length of the survey depends on the size of the organization.
Post survey and completion of required corrections, the organization earns accreditation
